Creativity and The Sims

Like many girls with access to a PC as a child, The Sims was the first game to capture my heart. Being able to control every aspect of their lives, customise their houses, hair, and clothes, and getting the serotonin from every promotion was truly addicting. 

But, as I got older, I realised the part that was truly pulling me in was the ability to create the storylines I had running through my head. The Sims allows you to visualise the

Before discovering writing, video games were my creative outlet. Minecraft was how I fulfilled the urge to explore, Fable was how I felt a sense of achievement and faith in myself, and The Sims was how I created people with personalities I could only imagine.And that is what this blog is about, exploring the ways in which people, notably myself, express their creativity. The Sims taught me that the stories in my head were interesting, even if I was the only one seeing them, because I trusted my own opinion, something which I might not have done otherwise.
